Come join us and see incredible speakers talking about the issues that face women lawyers:
Keynote Speaker:
Nicole Sheindlin – “All Rise – Maximizing Our Impact Through Mentoring” (with Mentor Robin Schlaff, Attorney, and Mentee Crystal Luna). Nicole is the daughter of two judges— Honorable Gerald Sheindlin, retired New York Supreme Court Judge and the famous “Judge Judy” Sheindlin, retired Supervising Judge of the New York State Family Court. When Nicole was growing up, family conversation revolved around fairness and public policy, in addition to the normal childhood squabbles and petty grievances. Nicole worked for 15 years as a public defender in the Bronx for the Legal Aid Society’s Criminal Defense Division. While there, she handled all facets of criminal cases from arraignment through plea or trial. In 2006, Nicole began looking for a more proactive way to work with the community. She launched what ultimately turned out to be her new full-time job: the Her Honor Mentoring Program.
Other Featured Speakers:
Kathryn Childers – “Life and Lawyering: Retool, Restart, Reinvent, Retire and Reboot Your Life…” As a U.S. Secret Service Agent, broadcast journalist, author, philanthropist, publisher, wife and mother, Kathryn Childers adjusted both her career track and personal life many times over. She speaks about the importance of succession planning, surviving the unexpected and thriving in life!
A conversation with Texas Supreme Court Justice Debra Lehrmann.
Former Judge Susan Criss with a talk aptly titled “Jinxed”. Judge Criss was the presiding judge of the Robert Durst trial.
A rapid fire roundtable giving you the opportunity to ask questions of State and Federal judges from across the state. The judges roundtable includes: Judge Alia Moses, Judge Jeff Bohm, Judge Amy Clark Meachum, Judge Stacey Mathews and Justice of the Peace Holly Williamson.
Plus a commercial law panel, litigation skills, cybersecurity and financial tips for lawyers and more!
